AND NOW FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT.
PLEASE READ THE DETAILS: THIS IS A DAY OUT BIKING
I am going up that way early January so will check out where the parking is :)

A group have wanted to do this since it opened and we decided on Wellington Anniversary weekend on the Sunday so you get a rest day before going back to work. We have decided to add in a couple of trails after the main ride. Some people might want to go to Arapuke mtb park after while I will go into Palmerston North and ride along the river bank trail.

The brand-new 10.5km Shared User Path alongside the Te Ahu a Turanga: Manawatū Tararua Highway offers a breathtaking journey across the Ruahine Ranges, designed for both walkers and cyclists to enjoy.
Enjoy panoramic views and unique perspectives across Manawatū, Tararua and beyond, including stunning vistas of the Ruahine and Tararua Ranges, the Manawatū River below, and nearby townships like Ashhurst and Woodville. Along the way, you'll also catch glimpses of Te Āpiti – Manawatū Gorge, and experience the giant-sized wind turbines towering overhead as you weave your way through the trail.
A standout feature is the lookout on Parahaki Bridge, suspended 30 metres above the Manawatū River.

You will need: A well-maintained bike

Remember to RSVP so we know numbers for the day. If you decide not to ride, please take your name off.
