Your chance to try tennis out at an exclusive open day for WHAAA members.
Details
Tennis is a fantastic game for mental and physical wellbeing, and highly sociable. Most people play to their own standard. And having spoken to many “Meet Up” members, I have often come across people who say they would either like to try tennis or to try tennis again after not playing for a while. If this sounds like you, then this event is perfect.
I have arranged with the club a tennis taster/improver session at Bovingdon tennis club on Feb 28th at 3pm. It doesn’t matter what your standard is. We will be the only people there. I will arrange some coaching/instruction and provide balls and rackets for those that don’t have one. I aim to make it fun and slightly aerobic. You don’t need to bring anything, however if you do have a racket please bring it.
The event is capped at 20 people and there will be a nominal cost of £2 per person to cover balls and refreshments, such as tea and cakes. It will be weather dependent and may be cancelled if weather looks bad. Please get there a minimum of 10 mins before 3pm, so we can organise everyone.
I have provisionally booked a table at the Bell pub in Bovingdon, immediately after the tennis finishes. This is a very short drive down the road from the tennis club. If you would like to join us in the Bell please let me know as soon as possible as places are limited and it is usually fully booked on a Saturday as the food is very good.
