The Hunt for HMAS Paramatta

I still haven’t fully finalised this adventure yet… the hunt for the wreck of HMAS Parramatta.

I’ve already made a couple of treks out there and discovered this is not your average walk. The current route involves cutting through bushland, finding a hidden dam, and reaching a cliff line where we’ll need to abseil down before climbing back up on the return.

And somewhere out there sits an abandoned wreck left in the water waiting to be explored.

Yes… we could just kayak to it.

But where’s the fun in that?

This is more about the adventure itself — exploration, problem solving, discovering hidden places, and doing something a little different.

I haven’t completed the full route yet, so this is still partly an unknown adventure. That’s exactly what makes it exciting.

At this stage I’m mainly gauging interest, as I’ll want at least one adventurous person with me when I do the full run.

Bring water, food, decent footwear, and an adventurous attitude. No experience required beyond being reasonably fit and comfortable with a challenge.

The listed date is only a placeholder for now — we can negotiate a better date once I know who’s interested.
