A great Twixmas ride from Richmond to Woolwich before hopping on Thames Clipper service back to Waterloo. A real treat of a ride showing all aspects of the Thames from both land and from the river itself. We'll be passing all the great London sights on our return including Greenwich, Canary Wharf and Tower Bridge. The cost of the Thames Clipper is £10.25 or £5 for concessions including Freedom Pass holders. If you wish to bypass the Clipper you can take the train back from Woolwich to Waterloo.
We meet at Richmond Park Gate at 9.00 and cycle along the Thames Path to Battersea Park where we stop for coffee. Then onwards via Bermondsey to Woolwich where we stop for lunch at Friends Cafe, which provides excellent quality food and coffee at very inexpensive prices. After lunch we cycle down to the Thames Clipper pier at Woolwich for an amazing river cruise back to Waterloo. We should finish the ride at around 4pm at Waterloo Station.

This is an excellent 32 mile Autumn ride with plenty of interesting sights and pretty easy for everyone as it's all flat.

Tickets for the Thames Clipper service from Woolwich Pier to the London Eye can be purchased through the link below, we'll aim to get the 2.30pm Clipper. I would recommend buying your ticket before you go as we all need to get aboard the Thames Clipper promptly. The ferry won't wait unfortunately. If you miss the Clipper there's one every half hour or a train from Woolwich to Waterloo

This is a four day ride of approx 250 miles from the London Eye to the Eiffel Tour in Paris. The route follows the Avenue Vert using country lanes and traffic free cycling paths. The first day is Monday and our route takes us from London to Newhaven where we take the overnight ferry to Dieppe at a cost of around £40. From Dieppe we have the choice of two routes the longest is around 150 miles so we will plan accommodation en-route for the Tuesday and Wednesday nights arriving in Paris on Thursday afternoon. We shall stay overnight in Paris on the Thursday picking up bike bags from the hotel as we cannot transport fully assembled bikes on Eurostar. We plan to catch an afternoon train back to London arriving early evening, depending on the train this should cost around £65. Accommodation costs will be around £200. In addition please ensure that you have travel insurance that will cover you for accidents and any serious existing medical conditions. Unless you can provide evidence of cover we cannot take you on this ride. Normal holiday insurance may not cover you so you will need to go to a medical cover provider such as Staysure. This company does cover existing conditions including heart and stroke but it will cost you £2-300 for a single trip.
