Beautiful walk along the river and up to the top of Skinner Butte, a great workout and well worth the walk. Note: 5K walk does not do Skinner Butte
Walk along and then across the Willamette River to visit the 9-acre Owen Rose Garden. Then walk to the historic Shelton-McMurphy house and up a long series of steps and a roadway to reach the summit of Skinner Butte. Enjoy the expansive view of Eugene, parts of Springfield, and the Cascade and Coast Range foothills.
Walk on paved paths and along the river to River Play, an innovative children's playground, and to a replica of Skinner's cabin, the first structure in the area. Return along the river and cross the river to reach Valley River Inn
