Day Hike 6 miles on the AT Out and Back

Park at Bake Oven Rd Parking area located at 9533 Bake Oven Rd Germansville, PA.
We will be hiking south on the AT, so we will be meeting at the smaller parking lot on the south side of AT.
Hike will be about 6 miles, give or take, depending on how we feel. I have a personal goal for this hike which is to scope out campsites for the spring to take my niece, so we will explore the tentsites a bit! We’ll hit up bear rocks and knife’s edge.
Im hoping the ice will melt by then, next week’s weather is looking warm enough to melt for a few days. Bake Oven Rd is steep and not recommended in snowy/icy conditions, so I will keep an eye on the weather until then.
