About the speakers

Tom Johnson is a senior technical writer for Amazon in Sunnyvale, California. He is best known for his blog, which has one of the largest followings in the tech comm community.

Tom has also created an extensive online API documentation course that has helped hundreds of technical writers transition into API documentation.

Kirk St.Amant is the Eunice C. Williamson Chair in Technical Communication at Louisiana Tech University where he is also a member of the University’s Center for Biomedical Engineering and Rehabilitation Science (CBERS) and serves as the Director of the University’s Center for Health and Medical Communication (CHMC).

He is also an Adjunct Professor of Health and Medical Communication with the University of Limerick in Ireland and a Research Fellow in User Experience Design with the University of Strasbourg in France.
