Primer encuentro ciudadano por el clima - 350 BCN

Entre los días 1 y 12 de diciembre tendrá lugar en Lima, Perú, la Cumbre por el clima, COP20 (http://www.cop20.pe/). Durante la sesión de clausura, el viernes 12 de diciembre, de 10 a 13 horas (16 a 19 horas de Barcelona) serán presentadas públicamente las conclusiones.

Desde 350 BCN (http://world.350.org/350bcn/) queremos aprovechar esta oportunidad para presentarnos y para comenzar a tejer un Movimiento ciudadano por el clima en Barcelona, del que formen parte todos los grupos de acción social y medioambiental de la ciudad.

Por eso invitamos a participar en nuestro evento de lanzamiento ciudadanos, organizaciones, compañías y ecoemprendedores e instituciones que quieran ser parte de la solución de la crisis climática.

Programa:

· 16:00-16:30: Presentación de 350 BCN, el grupo de acción local de 350.org. Compartiremos nuestra misión, nuestra visión, nuestros valores y nuestros objetivos, y haremos un llamado a la acción para construir un Movimiento ciudadano por el clima en Barcelona.

· 16:30-17:15: Rueda de presentaciones (se requiere confirmación): Los participantes inscritos para esta actividad tendrán la oportunidad de presentarse a sí mismos y a la organización que representan, y exponer la importancia del cambio climático para su organización.

· 17:15-18:15: Coloquio y debate sobre las diversas formas de colaboración que podríamos desarrollar entre nuestras organizaciones, que nos permitan crear un gran movimiento ciudadano cuyo primer gran hito sea la COP 2015 (París, diciembre 2015).

· 18:15-19:00: Visualización en vivo de las conclusiones de la COP20. Incluirá:

-Participación vía Twitter (durante todo el evento): #COP20, #PeoplesClimate @350 BCN. Conexión en streaming con Kevin Buckland, de 350.org, que estará en Lima.

-Discusión de las conclusiones.

Queremos aprovechar la ocasión para agradecer a Impact Hub Barcelona (http://barcelona.impacthub.net/), la red global de emprendedores sociales y ecoemprendedores, por ofrecernos su espacio para acoger este evento. Este es el segundo gran gesto de compromiso con el movimiento del cambio climático, después de que Impact Hub New York cedió sus instalaciones a los participantes del People’s Climate March (21 de Septiembre de 2014), durante una semana.

Let's gather to participate & build the Climate Movement in BCN

The COP 20 Climate Summit (http://unfccc.int/meetings/lima_dec_2014/meeting/8141.php)will take place on december 1-12 in Lima, Peru. On friday, december 12th from 10 am to 1 pm (4-7 pm Barcelona time) conclusions will be reached and made public during the closing session.

From "350 BCN" we want to take advantage of this opportunity to present ourselves and start building the Climate Movement in Barcelona by reaching out to and gathering all social & environmental movements involved in the climate cause.

We therefore invite every citizen, organization, company, eco-entrepreneur and institution that wants to participate and be part of the solution to the climate crisis to join us for this launching event, which will feature:

• 16:00 - 16:30: Presentation of "350 BCN", a local action group from 350.org (http://350.org/). We will share our mission, vision, values and goals, and make a call for action to build the Climate Movement in Barcelona.

• 16:30 - 17:15: Open round of presentations (confirmation required): every attendant that confirms participation in advance will get a chance to introduce herself/himself and the organization she/he represents, with a special emphasis on the importance of Climate Change for their organization.

• 17:15 - 18:15: Conversation & debate on how we can join our forces and begin working together, in a collaborative manner and toward the same direction as a unified movement, with the mid-term milestone in mind being the COP 21 (Paris, December 2015).

• 18:15 - 19:00: LIVE visualization of the final key moments of the COP 20 Climate Summit (http://unfccc.int/meetings/lima_dec_2014/meeting/8141.php)'s closing session, including:

• Remote participation via Twitter, all along the event: #COP20 #PeoplesClimate @350BCN

• Discussion about the conclusions reached
