The Head First Software Architecture book from O’Reilly Media was recently published in April 2024 byy Neal Ford, Mark Richards, and Raju Gandhi. In this bookclub podcast, we’ll talk about how and why the book was created, some of the topics within the book, and how this book differs from the previously published Fundamentals of Software Architecture.
About the Authors
Neal Ford is Director, Software Architect, and Meme Wrangler at ThoughtWorks. Before joining ThoughtWorks, Neal was the Chief Technology Officer at The DSW Group, Ltd. He is an internationally recognized software development and delivery expert, especially in the intersection of agile engineering techniques and software architecture. Neal authored magazine articles and many books, dozens of video presentations, and has spoken at hundreds of developers' conferences worldwide.
Mark Richards is an experienced, hands-on software architect involved in the architecture, design, and implementation of microservices architectures, service-oriented architectures, and distributed systems. Mark is the founder of DeveloperToArchitect.com and is also the author of numerous technical books and videos from O'Reilly.
