🎬 𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗩𝗜𝗔𝗡 𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗠 𝗡𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 — Friday, November 6, 2026

The Washington Film Institute, in cooperation with the Embassy of Latvia to the USA, invites you to a special screening of Blizzard of Souls—the acclaimed Latvian World War I epic and the highest-grossing film in Latvian box-office history.

Based on true events and a novel once banned by the Soviets, this powerful film follows a young Latvian soldier confronting the brutal realities of war as Latvia struggles toward independence. A moving story of courage, loss, identity, and the birth of a nation.

Join us for an evening of Latvian cinema and cultural exchange in Washington, DC.
