Bangkok Walking Adventures

This walk we will start from MRT Bangpho and will visit;

• The old stupa is an octagonal chedi stands on bank of the river. Believed that it has been built during king rama 3 (1824-1851).
• Wat soi thong which translates as “golden necklace”. It has been built during king Mongkut around 1855. It is known for its tranquil atmosphere and stunning gilded spires.
• The wood shops street is a 1 km long. Along the way they sell all kind of wood and process product where people come to find wood to build or decorate their houses.
  On the way we also stop at the famous ice cream of Bangpho. At the end we will have Esan food before departing.
  As usual, kindly prepare 300 THB to join the tour. It pays for your great guide, it allows us to keep surveying and bring more tours in the future and for train and bus. As with previous tours, we kindly ask again to only RSVP Yes if you are sure you can make it. We understand that sometimes things happen on the day that can't be avoided, but this should be a very small number of cases. It is a great Songkran festival. Organized by the cooperation of Thai people of Mon descent. Each year, Phra Pradaeng Songkran begins on the first Sunday after April 13, formerly known as Phra Pradaeng Songkran or Songkran Pak Lat. In the event, there is a Miss Songkran parade. Traditional games of the Mon people such as pouring water over the Buddha image and asking for blessings for elders releasing birds and fish, and having fun splashing water. The Miss Songkran parade will have beautiful women dressed in Thai or Raman (Mon) costumes marching in a line. One holding a fish jar and another carries a birdcage walking in front of Nang Songkran's car flanked by young Raman men dressed in sarongs wear a round neck shirt cloth blanket around the neck Flick the men's sabai to the back, which is called a men's floating suit.
