Happy New Year, everyone! Barcelona CyberSec is back 🚀

For our first event of 2026, we are trying out a new format at a new location: BCN Icon hotel. We’ve secured a private space there with a projector, comfortable seating, and a bar, so we can focus on some quality content before hitting the networking.

📍 The Venue & Entry To cover the rental of this private space, the venue charges a €7 entry fee. This includes your first drink (beer, soft drink, or other drinks available). It’s a small price for a comfortable spot, good tech, and great company—so please support the event and grab a ticket!

📢 The Format: Lightning Talks We are keeping it dynamic. 3 short talks (10-15 mins max) followed by full networking.

• 🤖 AI-Driven Fraud & Deepfakes: A look at how attackers exploit identity systems and the practical countermeasures (AI-on-AI detection) to stop them.
• Controlled AI Derestriction (Presented by Sergio) To defend against AI-powered threats, cybersecurity professionals (and multiple other fields) may need access to less restricted AI systems. This talk examines where de restriction is justified, where it becomes dangerous and how unequal AI access can create ethical and geopolitical consequences.
• Quantifying AI Risk with FAIR (Presented by Eliza) We will move beyond vague "high/medium/low" heatmaps by applying the Factor Analysis of Information Risk (FAIR) framework to the broader landscape of enterprise AI adoption.
