A practical workshop about setting boundaries, handling conflict and expressing yourself without guilt.

Do you sometimes say yes when you want to say no? Over-explain your decisions? Avoid conflict because it feels easier than dealing with the tension?

This is a small workshop for men who want to become more comfortable standing their ground. We will have a relaxed, friendly atmosphere where we can learn something useful, laugh a bit, and meet new people along the way.
We'll talk openly about situations where we struggle to be assertive, share our experiences, and—most importantly—practice.

### What we'll work on

We'll explore the difference between passivity, aggression and assertiveness, and practice techniques inspired by When I Say No, I Feel Guilty by Manuel J. Smith.
You'll get to practice:

  • saying no without endlessly explaining yourself
  • staying calm when someone keeps pushing
  • handling criticism without immediately becoming defensive
  • maintaining eye contact and becoming more comfortable with tension
  • finding compromises without compromising your self-respect

We'll use exercises such as Broken Record and Fogging, working through realistic situations from work, relationships and everyday life.

### Who is this for?

Every man is welcome.
This isn't an “alpha male” gathering and you don't need to already be confident or outgoing.
It's a space to practice expressing yourself more clearly, navigating uncomfortable conversations with less stress, caring a little less about other people's approval, and becoming more at peace with your own decisions.
And because it's such a small group, it's also a chance to meet a few new people in Barcelona in a more meaningful way than the usual networking or small talk.
Hopefully, you'll leave feeling a little more confident, a little more free — and having had a genuinely good time.
