March Bookbinding Club
Detalles
Throughout 2026, Bookbinding Club will continue to be on the 2nd Friday of the month, from 10am until 12noon.
All are welcome, but spaces are limited.
Bookings (RSVPs) are essential
March Bookbinding Club will be held on Friday 13 March 2026.
Topic:
Fancy Japanese stab bindings continued, but this month we’ll also look at how to make a hinged hard-board cover, wrapped with paper of your choice.
Cost: $20
Most materials and equipment provided on the day.
Bring:
Please bring a few sheets of interesting paper (for covering an A5 sized board, so anything roughly A4-ish) and your usual papercrafting tool kit (needle & thread, felt mat, cutting mat, craft knife, steel ruler, bone folder, awl, scissors, pencil, etc).
I will have a little retail table set up with materials, kits, and tools available to purchase on the day, if you’d like to continue making more JSB books at home after the meetup :)

For regular Bookbinding Club participants:
If you could all please bring along a Show & Tell item (or several!) of something you've been working on, or something of interest to share with the group, that'd be swell :)

One final note:
These meetups are a nice opportunity to BYO a bookbinding project to work on (or ask questions about), and maybe even share some of your ideas and plans for projects you'd like to work on this year. Got a particular project or bookbinding technique you'd like to get help with? - just let me know! I'm keen to hear what members would like to see covered in Bookbinding Club :)
We meet in the front workshop space at Michelle's Bindery studio - The Nest Creative Space warehouse building at 31 Ferry Rd, West End.
Hope to see you there,
Michelle
P.S.
