ClickHouse® is an open-source, high performance columnar OLAP database management system for real-time analytics using SQL. The sessions and discussions in this group will relate to architecture considerations, software design, coding and much more.

This session covers the basics of ClickHouse, an open-source columnar database built for analytical queries on large datasets. We'll review key features and changes from recent releases and provide an overview of planned features and development priorities on the ClickHouse roadmap.
6:50 - 7:10 - Partial Updates, Snapshots: Why Not Both? - Factorial
When we start publishing events, there's an important decision to make: Do we send only the changes that triggered the event (partial updates), or do we send the entire entity after the change (a full snapshot)? Each option has trade-offs: partial updates are efficient but incomplete, while snapshots are comprehensive but heavy. In this talk, we'll explore how to get the best of both worlds by using ClickHouse to automatically build snapshots from partial updates.
