Summary:

We have not been designed to live happy or fulfilling lives in stable societies. We've been designed to expand our genes as much as possible, which by definition is collective suicide: once we make extinct the rest of life forms on Earth we will fall as well.

We've been very successful at that: we are destroying the forests that keep us alive and extinguishing species ever faster. Meanwhile we are accelerating the dispossession of humanity's goods, concentrating wealth in very few hands, and making the happiness and fulfillment of the other 99.99% people more difficult.

And the curious thing is that this happens despite a long history of activism, both local and global, in ecology, social justice and international cooperation. In fact, if we look carefully at it, most activism, especially the most popular, is not only contributing to change but accelerating collapse.

To understand it, it helps to study human psychology. Understand what it is that it makes us believe that we are contributing to our happiness and to that of others when we are actually doing the opposite. And how we have built societies that amplify this deception. Fortunately recent science offers a lot of help in this regard.

With this knowledge we can review the history of humanity and see why the self-destructive tendencies have succeeded and the proposals for regeneration and liberation have failed. And with this empirical vision we can propose a truly ecological and stable social model, one that facilitates the happiness and the fulfillment of it's members. A society based on generosity, gratitude, community and mutual support. No need of property or money. And we can also propose a strategy to reach it effectively and efficiently
