Ver todo- Cammo CapersMiddle Meadow Walk, Edinburgh
Join us on a loop to the serene Cammo Nature Reserve via the Water of
Leith, the Canal and Gogarburn. We'll have a leisurely wander through
the new housing development at West Craigs, round the back of the
airport for a bit of plane spotting, then through the Cammo estate,
where we'll stop for a quick coffee break at the coffee cart if open.
We'll then cross to the River Almond and cycle above the gorge, cross
Grotto Bridge and wend our way down to a hidden beach for a picnic lunch - bring your own, there are no facilities here.
We'll return to the Meadows via Cramond Brig, the Edinburgh North cycle paths and the Roseburn Path to Union Canal link.
Almost 26 miles, the ride will be predominantly on shared, traffic-free paths and quiet back roads, with two very short stretches on a busy road - at Haymarket, then between the WoL visitor centre and Redhall Park.Here's the route map.
