In this talk, Diego Nahab (https://www.linkedin.com/in/diegonehab/) will discuss the many advantages, disadvantages, challenges, and solutions related to running smart contracts in a VM that can boot Linux and supports non-permissioned arbitration.

Diego is one of the few experts in network programming and high-performance GPGPU, Linux, and more. He holds a PhD from Princeton University and a postdoc at Microsoft Research, with a background of research at IMPA. Diego is making Cartesi possible through his expertise in bringing real architecture and a real-world operating system to the blockchain.
