We will meet for coffee at Bay Ten Espresso (10 Middlemiss St). This cafe is housed in a heritage-listed warehouse that was part of the bridge’s original engineering works. It’s a fantastic spot for industrial-style photography while we gather.

Afterwards we will head to the Broughton Street elevator to access the bridge’s eastern walkway. Walking south toward the city ensures the Opera House and skyline remain in our sights.

The walk will end at the southern end of the bridge in The Rocks. Choice between Harbour View Hotel, Australian Heritage Hotel a well-earned lunch and a chance to share our favorite shots.

Challenges: The Sydney Harbour Bridge is probably one of the most photographed icons in the world. Our challenge is to create a fresh unique view yet still capture the essential mood of the place

Take advantage of the surrounding: to achieve this we can consider what on offer: the architecture, lines and shapes, movements, the harbour view, the mixture of modern and historic architecture.

Street Portraits in The Rocks: As we descend into the city side, look for the contrast between the old sandstone heritage buildings and the modern crowds.
Getting There:
- Public Transport: Highly recommended. Take the train to Milsons Point Station. It is a short, flat 5-minute walk to the cafe. We will end near Circular Quay for easy train, ferry, or light rail access home.
- Accessibility: We will be utilizing the elevators at both ends of the bridge (Broughton St and Cumberland St) to ensure a comfortable walk for everyone.
- What to Bring: Comfortable walking shoes, water, and a microfiber cloth to keep your lenses (and phone cameras!) clean of smudges.
