Roots and Realms

Dear Journeying Souls,

I apologize for any confusion created by changing the name of this group again so soon.

This group was originally called Greenwich's Conscious Community, a name given by a lovely soul who started the group as a service to the meditation group-- who has since gone on her separate path. I kept that name for about 7 years and I recently changed it to Roots and Realms in an attempt to find a name that embodies the full concept of the spiritual gardening events as well as the more spiritual and trance state focused events such as the group hypnosis and TranceLab events that I have hosted and plan to host more frequently.

But as I'm moving toward a consolidation and improvement of my various communities and outreach efforts, I'm changing the name of this group to share the name of the business I have run for about three years now. Green Witch School of Practical Magic.

Its remains unclear to me for how long I will continue to post my events on Meetup... because they are making it more difficult for members to participate, now offering premium memberships in a way that make people think they HAVE to pay to participate in events. Through this Meetup group I have come to meet and became close with some wonderful people who have become some of my closest friends as well as clients. So I am not giving up on it yet. The future remains to be seen!

For now I will continue to post events here that I run through Green Witch School of Practical Magic and events that I run or co-host at Artemisia Integrative Wellness Center (wellness center in Stamford, CT).

What can happen in altered states of consciousness?

Trance Lab is an experiential laboratory to explore the altered perception during trance states. Facilitated by Marija Mikolajczak, certified hypnotherapist, you will experience rapidly entering trance state and we will experiment with various experiences such as catalepsy (inability to move a hand or arm), temporary amnesia, altered sight, and enhanced psychic or intuitive abilities through hypnotic suggestions.

We stretch the limits of ordinary awareness—and then integrate what we learn. Whether you're drawn to mysticism, altered states, hypnosis, or simply the mystery of the mind… this is your lab. Bring your ideas and an open mind.
