• Description of hike

We will meet at the bar La Taberneta in Canyelles at 10.00. The beginning of the route is a wide, shady path. Soon after we'll enter into the forest. The path up the mountain is narrow and very steep with at times, rocks and stones. Once at the top we'll walk through an estate and then start the path to the mountain of Sant Miquel d'Olèrdola. The views are quite breathtaking of Montserrat, the Garraf massif and the Penedès vineyards. This path will lead to the Castell d'Olèrdola and the MAC museum. As it's the first Sunday of the month, the entrance to the Iberian/Roman/Medieval ruins and the museum is free. After the visit we can have lunch in the picnic area. Then we will start our descent back down the mountain again enjoying the magnificent views. The path down is a wide, shady and easy path through the forest and vineyards. We can then have a well-deserved drink in the bar.
If you don't have a car to arrive at Canyelles we will try and share lifts from Sitges, Vilanova, Barcelona.

Nos encontraremos en el bar La Taberneta de Canyelles a las 10.00. El inicio de la ruta es un camino ancho y sombreado. Poco después nos adentraremos en el bosque. El camino que sube a la montaña es estrecho y muy empinado, a veces con rocas y piedras. Una vez en la cima, atravesaremos una finca y luego comenzaremos el camino hacia la montaña de Sant Miquel d'Olèrdola. Las vistas son impresionantes de Montserrat, el macizo del Garraf y los viñedos del Penedès. Este camino nos llevará al Castell d'Olèrdola y al museo MAC. Como es el primer domingo de mes, la entrada a las ruinas íberas/romanas/medievales y al museo es gratuita. Después de la visita podemos comer en la zona de picnic. Lluego comenzaremos nuestro descenso de nuevo por la montaña disfrutando de las magníficas vistas. El camino de bajada es amplio, sombreado y fácil a través del bosque y los viñedos. Después, podemos tomarnos una copa bien merecida en el bar. Si no tienes coche para llegar a Canyelles, intentamos compartir los viajes en coche.
