La Maroma - Highest Mountain in Malaga - 2065 metres

Detalles
Worry not! We will not climb the 2065 in one go :-)
Join us for a lovely challenge and climb the last half of the most iconic and highest mountain in Malaga.
Length: 15.4km
Elevation gain: 987m
Time: 7 to 8 hours of hiking
Out & back
La Maroma, although its original name is La Tejeda, means "the rope," a name that comes from the rope used by the ice collectors to extract it from this ancient and deep vertical cave at the top of the mountain.
After approximately 7 kilometers, there is a 1000-meter drop to scramble, so it is a trail with few flat areas. Several route options lead to the top of the Maroma, the highest peak in the province of Malaga:
El Robledal: approaches La Maroma from the north face and is the most attractive.
We walk at a comfortable and enjoyable pace—not too fast, not too slow—giving you plenty of time to soak in the views, take amazing photos, and chat with fellow adventurers.
At a scenic spot along the way, we’ll take a break for a picnic, so don’t forget to bring a packed lunch and plenty of water.
🚨 Important: Proper hiking shoes or strong trainers are required, as the terrain is very uneven and can be slippery.
