This event is a group hot air balloon flight in the Pre-Pyrenees region of Catalonia, organized with the professional balloon company Globus Kon-Tiki (https://www.globuskontiki.com)

I’ve already flown with this team once (January 25, 2026, near Montserrat), and photos from my previous flight are available in this group’s album.

📍 Location & Landscape
The flight takes off from Sant Llorenç de Montgai, near the waters of Camarasa Lake, surrounded by dramatic cliffs rising up to 300 meters.

During the flight, we pass over:

  • Camarasa Lake
  • rural landscapes of the Pre-Pyrenees
  • traditional villages such as Les Avellanes, Vilanova de Meià, Cubells

With suitable weather conditions, balloons in this area can reach altitudes of up to 3000 meters.

🕗 Schedule

  • Flight date: February 15
  • Takeoff time: around 08:00 AM
  • Flights take place early in the morning, usually about 30 minutes after sunrise
  • Exact meeting time and final takeoff location are confirmed by the operator 1–2 days before the flight, depending on weather and wind conditions
