SQL Server runs exceptionally well on AWS — but only if you understand the platform choices, performance trade‑offs, and operational patterns that make it shine. In this session, Yogi Barot from Amazon will walk through the practical realities of running SQL Server workloads on AWS, whether you’re migrating existing systems or building new cloud‑native architectures.
We’ll explore the key deployment options (EC2, RDS for SQL Server, and containerized approaches), storage and I/O considerations, HA/DR patterns, licensing implications, and how to optimize cost without sacrificing performance. You’ll also learn common migration paths, pitfalls to avoid, and how AWS services integrate with SQL Server for monitoring, security, and automation.
If you’re considering SQL Server on AWS or want to get more out of your current environment, this session will give you a clear, experience‑driven roadmap to succeed. In the meantime our registrations for AI and Analytics Saturday is still open and will close shortly as we are nearing the capacity. We are packing a very tight schedule in it. You don't want to miss it.
