Matter - Group Exhibition

This group show presents a conceptual duality worth examining.

The word MATTER on one hand, it denotes the physical substance of the universe — that which occupies space and possesses mass.

On the other, it functions as a verb or noun indicating significance: to matter is to be of consequence.

The tension between these meanings raises a critical question: is there inherent value in the material, or does value arise solely from human attribution?

In the realm of art, we manipulate matter in pursuit of meaning, but this leads us to ask — does it even matter, this matter?

Or are we merely assigning importance to configurations of substance to quell our existential discomfort?
