Writers' brunch: should I self-publish my book?

Detalles
Is traditional publishing still worth the effort? Will publishing with Amazon bring me any money? What are other options?
This delicious brunch is an invitation for book writers based in Barcelona – any origin, any genre, any stage of the writing process, traditional or self-pub alike – to come together, enjoy each other's company and talk about books, motivation (or the lack of it!), the blocks, and the sources of inspiration...well, everything our writer's life is about, really!
At this summer get-together, we will focus on the perks and downsides of the self-publishing process. Let's exchange information and experiences and also help each other with whatever issues we have.
Authors who have experience with self-publishing their books are extra-welcome to this meeting! We NEED your knowledge.
Even if you're not interested in this particular topic, tag along! You'll meet other Barcelona-based authors and have a great time. Guaranteed :)
Feel free to bring along your published books. Let's celebrate each other's works!
🚩 Since it's a free event and there are only 10 spots, please RSVP responsibly.
The main language of this meetup is English.
🧑🏼💻 About the organizer: Hi! I'm Marusha Mozolevskaya, a non-fiction writer and journalist based in Barcelona. I'm also a founder of the Girls Who Write & International Writers of Barcelona communities & Naked Words journaling program. Happy to meet other bookwriters and have a good chat about writing!
*Flax & Kale is a lovely plant-based restaurant. If you're not a vegetarian or vegan (like myself, I eat everything!), don't worry, you will still be happy with their brunch menu. They have options for everyone. The coffees are really good, too!
Since the beautiful "Library" room at Flax & Kale has strict booking conditions, this event has a small administration fee (€5).
*The food & drinks are paid separately on the spot
