Our first vintage diner for 2026 takes us to Pasadena’s beloved RUSSELL’S and celebrates Chinese New Year at One Colorado Courtyard. To make our Vintage Diners & Delis Series E-X-T-R-A special, my goal is to add something fun to do afterwards when possible to enhance your “Meetup Experience”.

ICONIC RUSSELL’S DINER
Step into a piece of history at Russell's, the perfect spot in Old Pasadena to enjoy the ambiance of an upscale diner featuring an array of popular American-French cuisine.

Established in 1930 by Frank Gale, Russell’s is a historic, family-friendly diner renowned for its classic American breakfast, comfort food, and nostalgic, Old World charm. Located on North Fair Oaks Ave. (near the Container Store), combined with a cozy, bustling atmosphere, featuring burgundy vinyl booths and a counter. It’s a local TOP Favorite for its 1950s-style booths, crystal chandeliers, and signature, large-portioned meals. It has a more grandeur atmosphere than your typical ordinary diner.

Russell’s has been a multi-generational favorite in Pasadena for decades, with many patrons visiting since the 1950s. Loyal patrons are always lined-up out the door! I’m limiting the group to 6. They do not accept reservations and only have one booth that seats 6 (and all other tables seat only 4).

MENU SPECIALTIES:
Known for an extensive breakfast menu including pancakes, Belgian waffles, French toast, croque-monsieurs and medames, gourmet omelettes, and "The Big One" breakfast. It also serves "bistro classics" like beef bourguignon, pasta, rice, famous burgers, and sandwiches. Special low carb platters are also a great option as they include the option of chicken, pork loin, grilled salmon, grilled burger patty, and a 8 oz. New York strip steak. There’s something on the menu to accommodate everyone!! Weekend brunches highlighted by blood-orange mimosas. Yum!!

### LUNAR NEW YEAR 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Join One Colorado on Sunday, from 1–4 PM as we welcome the Year of the Horse with an afternoon of festive traditions. Enjoy a live musical performance, a traditional Lion Dance, and complimentary treats including mochi and mini bites from Champion’s Curry.

Guests who spend $75 or more at any One Colorado shop or restaurant and present their receipt will receive a Lucky Red Envelope containing a surprise $5 gift card and additional special offers—while supplies last.
