De qué se trata
Let's connect with other singles in Chicago to enjoy all things Latinx: music, theater, film, food, dancing, comedy, volunteering in the community, people.
If you are single and want to meet new people who share similar interests centered on enjoying, supporting and elevating the Latinx community of Chicago, this group is for you. No need to be Latinx, all are welcome as long as you're single.
Group name is meant to be inclusive of any way one may identify when it comes to those of Latin American and Spanish descent. Linguistics is such a beautiful thing and always evolving; thus, so many terms to identify with.
Happy to take recommendations on events.
Looking forward to continue building community with you.
Please keep in mind the goal is to bring together singles who genuinely enjoy these events. As meetup puts it clearly in their guidelines: this group is not for pick-up or seduction techniques, or wingman tactics.
Please be mindful of your RSVP and update accordingly if your plans change. If you RSVP and don't show up, you'll be flagged as "no show" and eventually be removed from the group if it becomes a trend.
Note that there is a $10 annual fee which is due in cash at your 2nd event.

Let's go check out Somos Monos Cerveceria, a Mexican owned Brewery in Back of the Yards and enjoy their "Noche de Cine" with the film Warriors. Their announcement states pizza is offered as well in case you want to have a bite.
Come early so we can do a few icebreakers before the film starts at 7:30pm.
Closest train is Western Orange Line. It looks like they have parking available on the premises.
As always, please be mindful of your rsvp. No shows are tracked and removed from group if it becomes a trend.

- Let's Bike the Drive (DuSable Lake Shore Drive)Grant Park, Chicago, IL
If you love the Chicago skyline, the views along DuSable Lake Shore Drive and bike riding (and can actually get up early whether you're an earlybird or not), you have to Bike the Drive!
I've done this event multiple times rain or shine and it's always a treat. It is the one time of the year that DuSable Lake Shore Drive shuts down for a few hours on a Sunday morning to cars so that thousands of bicyclists can bike along DuSable Lake Shore Drive starting in Grant Park, Hollywood St and DLSD on the North or Museum of Science and Industry on the South. You can bike the entire route or just do a stretch.
We will decide when we meet on the route to take and where to go to breakfast after, for those of you interested.
Register here and check out FAQs for more info, including parking and how to rent a bike.
Note: This is a fundraiser for Active Trans; "a non-profit advocacy organization working to improve conditions for walking, biking, and public transit throughout Chicagoland." So we'll be exercising for a great cause. :)
Please update your rsvp if your plans change. No shows are removed from the group if it becomes a trend.
Note that there is a $10 annual fee due at your 2nd event. Cash is preferred.
- Cafecito y Chisme @ Brew Brew Coffee and Tea in AvondaleBrew Brew Coffee and Tea, Chicago, IL
Our next Cafecito event will be at Brew Brew Coffee and Tea in Avondale. We'll enjoy their coffees, teas or plenty of their delicious items, while making new friends. We'll also be supporting a family and minority-owned business.
Although coffee spot seems roomy enough for our group, the alternate plan is to walk to a nearby park.
Closest train stop is Belmont Blue Line. Street parking if you're driving.
I will post a message once I arrive.
As always, please be mindful of your rsvp. No shows are tracked and removed from group if it becomes a trend.
