Practise English with the Tarot

Each session focuses on a specific tarot card, and in this class we begin with the very first card of the deck: The Fool.

### 🌱 Theme: New Beginnings

The Fool represents fresh starts, spontaneity, curiosity, and stepping into the unknown. It’s the perfect starting point for both tarot and English conversation.

### In this session, you will:

• Explore what The Fool represents and how to talk about it in English
• Learn useful adjectives, collocations, and phrases for discussion
• Take part in guided conversation tasks based on the theme of new beginnings
• Practise speaking through a variety of interactive activities

There will be opportunities to work in pairs and small groups so you can actively participate and build confidence speaking English.

### 🃏 Do I need tarot cards?

No — you don’t need your own tarot cards to join.
If you do have a deck, you’re very welcome to bring it along, especially if it’s a different version. We will mainly use the Rider–Waite tarot deck, but alternative perspectives are encouraged.

### 💻 Technical requirements

• A laptop or desktop computer is strongly recommended (mobile phones can work but may be harder to follow visually)
• Please use headphones or a headset to ensure clear audio for everyone in the group

### 👥 Group size

Maximum 6 students per session, to ensure everyone has time to speak and interact.
