Why Data Engineers should have Tibero and LeanXcale in their toolbox

Hello Data Engies!

We are happy to announce the second event of the year happening next week, this time our speakers come from Madrid and Switzerland to talk about two interesting databases.

Don't forget to follow us at @MadridDataEng for updates on this event and info on future events.

*** Tibero, bridging the old and the new ***

Tibero Database is a RDBMS with backwards compatibility to Oracle DB and Exadata with the highest PL/SQL compatibility in the market.

You can imagine Tibero as a full-packed DB that was designed to have similar administration and development as Oracle but without the licensing or architectural constraints. Companies normally use it to double down on the cloud or to have a more flexible architecture.

During the presentation Daniel will talk about Tibero's interesting 2-Tier architecture, and explain how it can be used for Data Virtualization and Federation, Cloud Transformation, DWH Consolidation or other interesting cases.

*** Helping real-time decision making in high load environments with LeanXcale ***

In this talk Javier will show how to face the problem of taking real time decisions based on high volumes of data, by using a simple database architecture that avoids impacting the performance.

We will explain how to take advantage of LeanXcale (DB madrileña!) online aggregation and bidimensional partitioning features, that allow massive insertion and aggregation in real time.

*** About Dani Moya @don.moya ***

Dani is a globetrotter data engineer and a passionate about Tibero Database and LeanXcale, with experience in more than 57 exciting data projects since 2006.

Currently working in Switzerland, he drives up to 265 Km/h through the "Deutsche Autobahn" and Luxembourg to advise companies and help them migrate to better data engines or reduce the ETL mess that exists around...

He spends his time advising all kinds of companies in the German market, from Zalando Berlin and Lufthansa Systems Frankfurt to large financial entities in Zürich.

*** About Javier López ***

Javier is a Software Engineer at LeanXcale, contributing with his experience to build a product designed to break the traditional limits of the databases.

Prior to this, Javier worked on HPE and Gemalto (now part of Thales) as a developer and architect, building enterprise systems in sectors like healthcare or security.

Now, like an old-school pirate, he spends his time between fencing lessons and sailing a boat in the Mediterranean Sea.

*** The talk will take place at the Fever offices ***

~60 mins presentation in Spanish + questions followed by pizza & beer networking.
