Boost Your Performance and Developer Productivity with Jakarta EE 11
Jakarta Jakarta EE 11 is the first release of Jakarta EE after the new release cadence was introduced to be able to pick up features from the latest LTS release of Java where applicable.
With Java 21 released in 2023, Jakarta EE 11 was released in 2024 with support for this LTS release.
What were the updates? Are there any new specifications that were introduced? What about removals? Will there be another namespace change? How will the impact of this release be on other frameworks and technologies, such as Spring, Apache Tomcat, Hibernate, and more?

After the talk there will be an Eclipse Foundation Panel moderated by Carmen Delgado.

**Ivar Grimstad**
 is the Jakarta EE Developer Advocate at Eclipse Foundation. He is a Java Champion and JUG Leader based in Sweden.
Besides advocating the Jakarta EE technologies, Ivar is contributing to the Jakarta EE specifications as well as being the PMC Lead for Eclipse Enterprise for Java (EE4J). He is also one of the specification leads for Jakarta MVC and represents Eclipse Foundation on the JCP Executive Committee.
Ivar is also involved in a wide range of other open-source projects and communities. He is a frequent speaker at International developer conferences.




**Carmen Delgado**
As the Community Manager for Eclipse Adoptium, Carmen brings experience in project, operations, and financial management across various industries to help Adoptium working group members achieve their goals and objectives. Her background includes successful terms in healthcare, pharma, fintech, and tech startups. Additionally, She actively contributes to Step4ward, a mentoring program in Spain, demonstrating her commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in the tech world.
