🕛 Hora y punto de encuentro
Quedaremos el domingo 17 de mayo a las 12:00 frente a la tienda Manzana Rota, en la estación María Zambrano.

Está cerca de la entrada donde se bajan las escaleras mecánicas hacia los andenes. Si no nos ves, ve directamente al tren, ya que es posible que ya estemos allí.

🚆 Tomaremos el tren de las 12:13 desde María Zambrano, llegando a Torremuelle a las 12:56.
Por favor, asegúrate de tener ya tu billete o tarjeta del Consorcio y de estar listo/a a la hora de encuentro.

Durante la caminata visitaremos:
🏰 Torre de Torremuelle
Una histórica torre vigía costera que formaba parte del sistema defensivo de la Costa del Sol frente a ataques piratas.

🌊 Miradores costeros
A lo largo de la ruta pasaremos por varios miradores con vistas al Mediterráneo, calas rocosas, playas y la bahía de Fuengirola.

🏛️ La Finca del Secretario (Yacimiento Arqueológico)
Un importante yacimiento arqueológico romano con restos de una factoría de salazón, termas y edificios romanos de entre los siglos I y V d.C.

🏰 Castillo Sohail
Nuestro destino final será el emblemático Castillo Sohail, una fortaleza del siglo X situada junto a la desembocadura del río y la playa.

🚆 Regreso
La ruta termina cerca del centro de Fuengirola, donde hay trenes de Cercanías hacia Málaga aproximadamente cada 20 minutos. Por lo tanto, estimamos estar de vuelta en Málaga sobre las 19:30. También es posible abandonar la ruta antes desde distintos puntos del recorrido si es necesario.

Distancia: ~14 km
Duración: ~5,5 horas (incluyendo descansos)
Dificultad: Fácil. La mayor parte del recorrido es llano, por paseos marítimos y caminos costeros, apto para cualquier persona acostumbrada a caminar varias horas.

Haremos pequeñas pausas durante la ruta y una parada más larga para descansar, comer, disfrutar del entorno y quizás darse un baño.

It’s near the entrance where you take the escalators down to the train platforms. If you don’t see us, please go directly to the train, as we may already be there.

During the walk, we will explore:
🏰 Torremuelle Watchtower
A historic coastal watchtower that was once part of the defensive system protecting the Costa del Sol from pirate raids.

🌊 Coastal Viewpoints
Along the route, we’ll pass several scenic viewpoints overlooking the Mediterranean coastline, rocky coves, beaches, and the Bay of Fuengirola.

🏛️ La Finca del Secretario (Yacimiento Arqueológico)
An important Roman archaeological site containing the remains of a fish-salting factory, thermal baths, and Roman buildings dating from the 1st to 5th centuries AD.

🏰 Sohail Castle
Our final destination is the iconic Sohail Castle, a 10th-century fortress located beside the river mouth and beach.

🚆 Return
The walk ends near Fuengirola town centre, where there are regular Cercanías trains back towards Málaga approximately every 20 minutes. Therefore, we estimate to be back in Málaga around 7:30 PM. You can also leave the route earlier from several points along the coast if needed.

Distance: ~14 km
Duration: ~5.5 hours (including breaks)
Difficulty: Easy. Mostly flat coastal paths and promenades suitable for anyone comfortable walking for several hours.

We will take short breaks during the walk, as well as a longer stop to rest, eat, enjoy the surroundings, and perhaps go for a swim.
