Why and how do we age?

Ageing is one of the most universal human experiences, yet one of the least understood. Why do our bodies change over time? Why do some people reach their 90s with clarity and strength while others age faster? Is ageing something we can genuinely influence?

In this Growth Lab Live session, we explore the core biology behind how and why we age. We look at the evolutionary roots of ageing and ask whether the process is truly conserved across species. We break down the hallmarks of ageing at a cellular level and examine how different tissues and organs age at different speeds.

We will also look at what shapes human longevity, from genetics to lifestyle factors, and review the growing evidence that the ageing process can be modulated. From exercise and caloric restriction to emerging scientific interventions, this talk reveals what we can change and what remains written into our biology.
Join us for a clear, grounded and forward-looking journey into the science of ageing and the future of longevity.
