## Metro Detroit Recreational Pick-Up Basketball

Welcome to a community for anyone looking to play fun, respectful pick-up basketball—indoors or outdoors—across Metro Detroit. No league commitments, no pricey gym memberships—just the game.

### 🏀 Who Can Join

Players of all skill levels and backgrounds are welcome, as long as you have basic basketball ability. We value sportsmanship and camaraderie:

No hard fouls, trash talk, or excessive showboating
Physical play is fine within reason—let’s avoid injuries that may cause people to miss work or school

### 🏀 Game Format

Most games are full-court 5-on-5
If fewer than 10 players show up (rare), we adjust accordingly
Games are short to allow quick rotation
Sign-ups are limited, but waitlists often move—players frequently drop out last-minute

### 🏀 Outdoor Games (May–September)

Saturdays, 10 AM–12 PM
Rotating courts across Metro Detroit: Lawson Park (Royal Oak), Griffin Park (Canton), Butzel Family Center (Detroit), and others
