Sketching the City: A Walking Sketchbook Tour

What if we explored Mexico City one sketch at a time?
Join us for a creative walking tour through the Alameda Central, Palacio de Bellas Artes and the surrounding streets of Mexico City's Historic Center.

We'll walk, stop, observe, and make quick sketches of whatever catches our attention: architecture, statues, fountains, people, plants, street scenes, details and little moments of everyday life.
The idea is to experience the city through drawing — one 5–10 minute sketch at a time. You don't need to create polished drawings; we're interested in capturing impressions, gestures and fleeting moments.
Think of it as a conversation between your sketchbook and the city.

### What to bring

Since we'll be walking and making quick sketches, I recommend bringing something light, practical and portable, such as:

• Pen or ballpoint pen
• Pencil or graphite
• Markers
• Colored pencils
• Your favorite sketchbook

Bring whatever you feel comfortable carrying around the city.
If you don't have materials or prefer to travel light, I can provide a basic materials kit for an additional $100 MXN. Please let me know in advance so I can prepare one for you.

### Who is this for?

Everyone!
You don't need to be an experienced artist or know how to draw. This meetup is about observation, experimentation and enjoying the city from a different perspective.
Whether you're a seasoned urban sketcher or someone who hasn't drawn in years, you're welcome.

### Meeting point

Venus Fountain, Alameda Central

We'll meet 5 minutes before the event starts at the Venus Fountain so we can begin together.
Please be punctual! We'll start walking at 11:00 AM and don't want anyone to miss the beginning of the route.

### Participation

$150 MXN
A materials kit is available for $100 MXN extra if needed.
