Our annual Thanksgiving get together where us 🇨🇦 folk give thanks for our many blessings like 7 months of snow!
★ SATURDAY, OCT 11th, 1PM - 6PM, TARPEIAN LAWN PRECINCT ★
A beautiful spot overlooking the Harbour Bridge & Opera House for a picnic and amazing sunset.
Pet friendly but keep in mind it's a picnic with lotsa food so bring a leash.
★ BYO DRINKS & A PICNIC ITEM TO SHARE ★
If you've got a great dish then go for it but don't worry if you don't.. a bag of chips also counts!! We're giving out good prizes for best dishes in multiple categories.
Also be sure to bring a picnic blanket & sunblock. We'll have coolers & ice for drinks. There's bathrooms, etc at the Opera House.
★ WE'VE GOT TURKEY ★
Brined for 2 days, then slow-cooked for 6 hours and delivered hot to the picnic around 2pm. For those who partake, you can make a completely voluntary donation to the "turkey fund" 🦃

This is always a really friendly, free event where a lot of young professionals & students make new friends so don't just invite your Canadian friends! Families & pets welcome too of course. We've also got Spikeball and hopefully some touch football 🏈
★ RAIN PLAN ★
We've got Kent St Hotel booked as our back-up plan. Same time 1pm-6pm. And it'll still be BYO food/potluck & we're still doing the turkeys so either way, this picnic is on!!
