Hi all learners of English and Spanish!
Welcome to our fortnightly language exchange group!
If you’re a native Spanish speaker studying, working or holidaying in Brisbane and looking to socialise in your own language or practise your English, this is great place to do it.
If you’re learning Spanish at any level and want to practise speaking in a warm, welcoming and supportive social setting, please come and enjoy our regular meetings!
Everybody is welcome. You can order tapas or just have a drink.

We are looking forward to seeing you at the OLE Sangria bar in South Brisbane. We should be easy to find in the Sangria Bar on the Grey St side of Olé Restaurant. If in doubt, ask at the cash desk on the Little Stanley St entrance and a member of staff will help you.
You can speak in Spanish or English. It really depends on you and the person you’re chatting to. Try to chat for a bit in both languages, so that everyone gets to practise their second language.
Important points to remember:
- Our meetings are in a bar and they keep a table for the group on every other Thursday night so please order a drink or something to eat in the course of the evening, so that we can continue to use this great space to meet.
- If you are neither English nor Spanish native speaker, you are welcome in the group, just be reminded that people are there for an exchange, so it is appreciated if your level of either English or Spanish is good enough to be able to have a short conversation in this language.

¡Bienvenidos a nuestro grupo quincenal de intercambio de idiomas!
Si eres un hablante nativo de español que estudia, trabaja o está de vacaciones en Brisbane y quieres socializar en tu propio idioma o practicar tu inglés, este es el lugar ideal para hacerlo.
Si estás aprendiendo español a cualquier nivel y quieres practicar en un ambiente social cálido y acogedor ¡ven y disfruta de nuestras reuniones regulares!
Todo el mundo es bienvenido. Puedes pedir tapas o simplemente tomar algo.

Esperamos verte en el bar OLE Sangria de South Brisbane. Será fácil encontrarnos en el Bar Sangría, en el lado de Grey St del Restaurante Olé. Si tienes dudas, pregunta en la caja de la entrada de Little Stanley St y un miembro del personal te ayudará.
Puedes hablar en español o en inglés. Depende de ti y de la persona con la que hables. Intenta charlar un rato en los dos idiomas para que todos practiquen su segunda lengua.

Nuestras reuniones se celebran en un bar y nos reservan una mesa cada dos jueves por la noche, así que te rogamos que pidas algo de beber o de comer durante la velada, para que podamos seguir utilizando este magnífico espacio para reunirnos.
