Chötrul Duchen is known as the Day of Miracles. PBDC will celebrate with the
All Good Buddha and Remembrance Practice. Our regular full moon practice will also be integrated.
During the first 15 days of the lunar New Year, we celebrate the 15 days when Buddha Shakyamuni displayed miracles at Shravasti in order to increase the merit and devotion of his earliest disciples. During this period, the benefit of one’s actions is particularly impactful. The Miracle Month culminates on Chötrul Duchen - the Day of Miracles.
On Chötrul Duchen, it is said that the effect of one’s actions is multiplied ten million fold. This is truly a most auspicious day for practice!
PBDC welcomes all sangha to join in practice that day, followed by a tsok offering.
Please bring your vegetarian offering early to be placed on the tsok table.
