We will use resistance bands in these classes. If you would like to bring your own then that is welcomed otherwise the coach will have sufficient quantity for each participant.
COVID-19 changes
Participants and coach will all remain two metres apart throughout the class. Whilst a mask should be worn to travel to and from class, it does not need to be worn in class, so long as we keep our two metres distance between participants. As much as you might not have seen each other for a long long time, I would strongly advise no hugs or kisses when you see your friends at training. Please be aware that many people might be apprehensive about training outside again and in such close proximity to others, so please respect this and keep your distance between all participants. If you intend to come you MUST sign up through meet up. In the hopefully unlikely case that somebody is sick, it will be easier to trace contacts.
• What is it? - This class is designed to strengthen and condition the whole body. Aiming to prevent injury by strengthening those weak muscles and stretching those problem areas. This will be hugely beneficial to our runners all of whom who should do some strength and conditioning work at least once a week. By coming along to class you get to do this under the instruction of a experienced coach and in the company of your friends from running intervals.
• Where is it? - The class takes place on Barceloneta beach, next to the outdoor workout area on the right hand side. Just look out for me in my blue PB:Running top. Click on the link to see the location

• When is it? - When is it? - Strength and conditioning classes take place on a Tuesday morning at 7.15am, a Tuesday evening at 7pm, a Wednesday evening at 7 pm, and a Thursday evening at 8pm
• Who runs it? - These classes are led by me! My name is Alan Urquhart and I am from Scotland. I am a Level 4 Advanced Personal Trainer and I have been in the health and fitness industry for 23 years. For 13 years I was a runner, taking part in road, hill, cross country, and track, in distances from 1 mile to marathon. I have been involved in Athletics coaching since I was 17.
• How much is it? - €8 a class however you can buy an unlimited class pass which will give you access to all PB:Running and PB:Training classes for the calendar month for €30.
• Anything else? - Before you attend your very first class with me, you will be required to fill out a par-q which you can complete here.

• What to bring - It would be advised to bring along a water bottle. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear, the class is on the sand. In the winter it can be a little cold first thing so wear plenty layers. I can keep valuables such as keys, wallets etc in my backpack. You may want your phone to take pictures of the stunning early morning sunrises.
