**WHAT THIS GROUP IS ABOUT**

This idea was sparked by members after a brainstorming session on how to stay connected and healthy through lockdown.

We meet once a week on Zoom to:

* Uplift each other,
* Share our introvert highs and lows,
* Share one helpful thing we learned this week.

MOST IMPORTANTLY ...

Listen actively and without interruption, and be a supportive and positive presence for the group.

Online event

A new online initiative that has grown out of our monthly in-person Silent Book Club events in our sister group.

Virtual Book Club is spurred by our introverted love of good books, and the awareness that if we don't schedule it, it won't be a priority.

**WHO IT'S FOR:**

Anyone who:

* Loves reading
* Wants to get into a consistent habit of reading
* Can't get to our in-person book club in Melbourne

**HOW IT WORKS:**

* Our Autumn to Winter book club runs every Sunday through May and June
* Starts: Sunday 4 May 2025 - Ends: Sunday 29 June 2025
* Drop in for one, some, or all sessions
* Pay only for the sessions you attend
* No prescribed book - bring what you feel like reading
* No homework
* Read in silence with audio off (40 minutes)
* Share what you read and what you loved / learned (15 minutes)

**WHAT IT COSTS:**
There is an organizer fee of $5 per session.

**ITINERARY**

* Meet at the foyer of State Library of Victoria.
* Welcome by host and self-introductions.
* Explore the library and exhibitions, find a cosy corner to read.
* Meet back at the foyer at 2.15pm.
* Afternoon tea (Guild Café in the Russell St Welcome Zone)
* Chat with fellow book lovers about what you read and what you enjoyed.

Both started in September 2020 and exist to strengthen social confidence and social connection for introverts, empaths and highly sensitive persons.

We host in-person events as well as weekly Zoom calls.

In-person events are mostly in and around Melbourne CBD for maximum accessibility by public transport.

I look forward to helping more introverts feel safe, grow in confidence, and use our quiet strengths in service.
