Weekly Study Group

This will be our second study group meeting for those who are taking the Coursera Interactive Python course, as well as anyone who is working on other online courses or tutorials and wants to do so with other Python women who can help when you get stuck.

At this meetup we will review the following assignments. Please view the instruction videos and do your best to complete the 2 assignments before this meetup:

(1) Mini-project 1 (RPSLS) - this project requires you to understand the materials from Week 0 and Week 1 and apply them by writing a small program. It is due this Sunday, 6 April at 5:00am GMT (before this meetup!).

(2) Quiz 2 - this is not due until after our meetup, and you can retake it many times until you get a score you are happy with. So do the quiz before our meetup, and don't worry too much if you have trouble with some of the questions. We'll help you through them at the meetup so that you can take it again with more confidence.

Of course not everyone can keep up with all of the course materials - please don't let that prevent you from joining if you are taking the course but have fallen behind. I'm sure you can still learn something by listening to the discussion.

High Performance Scientific Computing:

If you use Python for science, and have a good understanding of the basics of python, there are others in the group joining us who are taking Coursera - High Performance Scientific Computing. Independent Study:
