The event is 100% free and will take place at Espacio Downtown in the La Latina neighbourhood of Madrid.

ESPACIO DOWNTOWN
🎙Who: we’re gonna have two great speakers from Revolut
➡️ Wojtek Ptak, Head of Engineering - Business
➡️ Sérgio Amorim, DevOps Engineer
📋 Topics:
✔️Wojtek Ptak - “Breaking Bad Code: From simple problems to complicated solutions and back”
“The function of good software is to make the complex appear to be simple.” – Grady Booch
In the vast landscape of software development, we’ve all experienced our ‘Breaking Bad’ moments. From the arid wasteland of anti-patterns to the treacherous maze of god entities, it’s time to echo Walter White and declare, ‘I am not in danger, I am the danger.’ Arm yourself with the powerful weaponry of Object-Oriented Programming and Domain-Driven Design, and let’s turn our code from ‘Breaking Bad’ to ‘Coding Rad’. Join us for a coding journey that’s as thrilling and immersive as Heisenberg’s transformation!
✔️Sérgio Amorim – “Maximising developer productivity: How governance can make the difference”
In the world of software development, governance is often seen as a process-heavy framework that conflicts with the agility and fast pace required by product teams. However, this talk challenges this misconception by highlighting how effective governance can maximise developer productivity. By establishing clear guidelines, defining responsibilities, and standardising processes, governance provides a solid foundation for efficient and effective teamwork.
