St Martin Vésubie - Cime de Piagu 2338m
Detalles
With the weather forecast for Sunday looking mostly sunny but maybe a bit of rain inbetween. I anyway suggest to a hike in the surroundings of St. Martin Vésubie. It is easily accessible by public transport for 1€50 and a lovely ride of about 1h30.
Starting point is the village, which by itself is worth a visit, being a charming mountain place. This is a sportive hike, going up to Cime de Piagu. Temperatures in the mountains are still very comfortable, not too hot and about 10C lower than on the coast, thus perfect for hiking.
Pace: relaxed, but overall it is a sportive hike
Start-time: 10h00
Elevation gain: 1100m
Duration: about 6h00 plus time for lunch
Meeting point: in front of the town hall/tourist office
Google Maps: Starting Point
The usual: proper shoes, water, a rain coat, wind breaker, warm pullover and something to eat for your lunch. Plus sun glasses and sun screen.
If you need a car share or you can offer one, please ask in the comments. Also accessible by public transport, bus 90 from Nice Arboras 8h10-> St Martin Vesubie 9h40. https://ftp.lignesdazur.com/ligne_90.pdf
