La Palma Tech Autunm 2024

## Announcement

La Palma Tech Autumn 2024 is the event where tech enthusiast living in San Miguel de La Palma, or visiting it (remote workers, digital nomads, tourists...) get together to meet and learn from each other.

After a brief introduction about the meetup group and the event, done by the organisers, participants will be invited to introduce themselves.

Anyone interested will have up to 5 minutes to present what they do or what they are interested on. Bring your laptop or tablet. The venue has projector in case you need it.

After a break, we will have a couple of talks from people doing interesting things, you might want to know about.

The event is free but please register in advance (not mandatory but it helps the organisers). Join the meetup group if you are not a member and then join/register the event.

### Venue

The venue will be announced a couple of weeks before the event. Initially, it will take place in Los Llanos de Aridane, La Palma.

### Agenda

The agenda is WIP, but the structure is:

20:15 Gathering on a place close by to socialise

### English and Spanish

Boosting interactions among visitors and the local tech community is the ultimate goal of this meetup group activities. The organisers suggest that, if you provide a talk is in English, please bring your slides in Spanish, if you can, or the other way around. Or make a summary in a different language. Other strategies are welcome as well. It is more work but it will serve the purpose of the event better.

In any case, there will be multilingual people willing to help participants. The most important point is that you come and talk about who you are and what you do.

La Palma Tech Summer 2024 es el evento donde los entusiastas de la tecnología que viven en San Miguel de La Palma, o que la están visitando (trabajadores remotos, nómadas digitales, turistas...) se reúnen para conocerse y aprender unos de otros.

Después de una breve introducción sobre el grupo de meetup y el evento, realizada por los organizadores, se invitará a los participantes a presentarse.

Cualquier persona interesada tendrá hasta 5 minutos para presentar lo que hace o en qué está interesada. Trae tu laptop o tablet. El lugar cuenta con proyector por si lo necesitas.

Después de un descanso, tendremos un par de charlas de personas que están haciendo cosas interesantes, de las que quizás quieras saber más.

El evento es gratuito y de entrada libre. Rogamos se registren con antelación (no es obligatorio pero ayuda). Para hacerlo, únete primero a este grupo meetup y luego al evento.

### Lugar

La sede del evento se anunciarán dos semanas antes del evento. En principio, tendr'a lugar en Los Llanos de Aridane, La Palma.

### Inglés y español

El objetivo principal del meetup es maximizar las interacciones entre la comunidad local tech y los trabajadores remotos y nómadas digitales que nos visitan. La organización sugiere que las charlas sean en inglés y las transparencias en castellano o viceversa. Estas u otras estrategias similares ayudan a que todos podamos disfrutar del evento.

En cualquier caso, habrá gente que hable de manera fuida ambos idiomas y podrán ayudarte si no es tu caso. Lo importante es que participes. Para todo hay una primera vez.
