📚 About our sessions

Please read the stories listed below before attending. For every story we will start with summarizing the story so that we have it fresh in our minds. We will share our opinions about the story, which parts we liked and which we didn't like, and we will discuss any and all aspects of the story and the writing.

📖 About this session

Despite the dramatic event title we will not be reading Zola's open letter titled J'accuse..! Instead we will turn to his short works of fiction. The stories we will be discussing are:

🐈‍⬛️ The Paradise of Cats at approximately 1,400 words published originally in 1874 in the short story collection called Stories For Ninon ( original title: Nouveaux Contes à Ninon)

🪦 The Death of Olivier Becaille at approximately 10,600 words published originally in 1891 as part of a collection of short stories titled Evenings at Médan (original title: Les Soirées de Médan)

After the discussion feel free to stick around, socialize, and make new friends. ☕
