Welcome to the Socrates Cafe in Madrid. Socrates Cafe is an international network of communities of meetups.

IMPORTANT about attendance:
* Because the waitlist is getting quite long, if you can't join please make sure to update your RSVP before 11AM on Friday so people in the waiting list can update their plans accordingly.
* If you have RSVPed before Friday and RSVP no in the last 24 hours or don't show up twice, then you will be flagged to not be able to join future meetups. (This does not apply to you if you were in the waiting list and only got in after 5PM on the day before the meetup)

IMPORTANT about the venue:
* Since this event is at a restaurant, please be willing to order at least one drink when you attend. The meetup itself is free as always.
* Because they ask us to have one bill, please bring either cash or have bizum to pay for your drink.

At Socrates Café meetups, people discuss thought-provoking questions about life and the world we live in. We do it as a dialogue, not as a debate or a lecture.
You do not need to be a philosopher just talkative, a good listener and curious human being. In the end we end up being a group of people talking about life.
What makes these events a success are the participants, who come from all walks of life with open minds, ready to learn and form opinions through respectful discussions with others.
At the start of each meeting, the facilitator invites participants to suggest topics. We then vote and choose the most popular topic for discussion.
RULES

1. Please be on time! We will start at 11:00 so if you arrive late, please join quietly. If you are a first timer, make sure you take extra time for finding the location.
2. If something unexpected happens and you can't join, please update your RSVP as soon as possible.
3. You may disagree with others, but please do so respectfully without personal attacks.
