On "On Leisure" by Seneca
Detalles
Seneca viewed true leisure, or Otium, not as idle laziness but as a dedicated, active pursuit of philosophy, virtue, and study that nourishes the mind and soul. He argued that free time should be used for contemplation to avoid wasting life, famously noting that "leisure without study is death — a tomb for the living person".
I will have read the eight chapter long work and hold a powerpoint presentation for you before we get to question and discuss Seneca`s way of reasoning and stoic way of thinking.
You can find the work here.
