A permanent crisis

Even some of the keenest supporters of capitalism admit openly that it is not working. Throughout Europe living standards have been cut, millions are unemployed and many more fear unemployment. Capitalism has given people expectations it cannot fulfil, and the reality is insecurity for the majority, and poverty, or even destitution, for some.

Unnecessary hardship

Why should this be happening when we have a world brimming with resources in which everyone could be well provided for? The simple reason is that the capitalist system cannot allow goods to be produced, services to be made available, or technology to be used unless there is profit at the end of it. Production will only take place if the small minority who own most of the wealth of the world can invest that wealth at a profit. Things operate like this regardless of the insecurity it causes and regardless of whether people’s needs are satisfied. Only for the small privileged minority who own most of the wealth does this system provides secure, worry-free lives.

The alternative

For over 100 years the World Socialist Movement (the Socialist Party of Great Britain and its companion parties in other countries) has argued for a moneyless society. In this society everyone will have free access to all goods and services, according to the principle ‘from each according to their ability, to each according to their needs’. The restrictions on production caused by the profit motive will be removed, enabling every man, woman and child on the planet to have a decent secure life. Today the means to establish this are available in the form of resources, knowledge and technology. But only the majority of the population, acting voluntarily and democratically, can bring into being this new moneyless, classless, stateless society.

One Question Survey

So, here is the big question!

If you lived in a society or world that did not use money or a monetary system, and all education, basic needs, and all resources are available to you for free;

What would you do for a career or job?

99% of the people who have answered the question decided to do a job or career completely opposite of what they are doing now for money.

What does this survey tell you?

That 99% of the people are not happy and are only doing the career, job, work or task for money so they can survive in this crazy world.

The 99% of the people are not doing what they want to do in life because of the monetary system and social pressures.

This survey shows more then 70% of the people are ready to live in a world that does not use money or a monetary System as a means of exchange...

The great thing is so far more then 70% of people around the world who have taken the survey say they would do something positive for humanity and earth without using money or a monetary system by just volunteering to join projects, a job, or a career path.

The other 25% or less of people could also do something positive for humanity when they decide on what they would do or want to do and as long as they do not decide to do nothing.
