ComedyShorts Berlin is fast-paced competitive improv comedy-match played like a sporting event. Two teams go head-to-head in a playful, highly interactive battle-of-wits where the audience yells out suggestions all night and votes for which team brings on the ‘funny.’ ComedyShorts returns to the 800a for another night of wild lively fun between the teams and the audience. This show is also the 62nd Birthday Celebration for Brian Kapell, the founder of CS, and a founding-father of 'short-form improv,' going strong after 41 years of playing these games. Come and make some noise with Brian and the team. The group performs in English, has been putting on shows since 2005 and has featured many of Berlin’s top improv talent over the years. Meet like-minded people, get authentic meditation instructions and hang out in our beautiful Buddhist meditation center in the west of Berlin! The practice of meditation is a simple, yet profound practice that helps us to connect with ourselves and gives us tools to release experiences of distraction, agitation, and stress. In the Buddhist tradition, meditation is more than just a way to end the mind´s distraction - it is what helps us to bring our mind home to its true nature. What better way to experience the colourful facets of meditation than with a group of like-minded people? Hence our open meditation sessions always have a social element as well - we like to have a tea and share about our meditation experiences, or whatever else we want to explore. There is also always the chance to ask questions to our experienced meditation instructors. Einladung zu einer Reise hin zum eigenen Körper: Wenn unser Geist Urlaub macht, taucht darunter ganz von allein Spiel, Spontaneität, Leichtigkeit auf. Aber wie kommen wir in eine solchen Zustand? Zeit, Sanftheit, Kommunikation. Mit ganz unterschiedlichen, leicht zugänglichen, Impulsen und Übungen aus Contact Improvisation, Tanz und Movement beginnen wir mehr und mehr nach innen zu horchen. Durch sowohl Stille als auch Bewegung kommen wir zur Ruhe, wecken erhöhte Präsenz und Verbundenheit. Experimentieren, Loslassen und Albernheit sind willkommen, wenn wir mit uns selbst, in Partnerarbeit und in der Gruppe in Bewegung kommunizieren.
