Now, they open their homes for a few guests at a time to share a homemade meal and life inspiration. *** **This next evening takes place at Claire’s home by the lakes in Østerbro.** Claire is a Jamaican artist, teacher, and storyteller who has lived in Denmark for over 30 years. She is part of the senior generation and brings decades of experience. She is one of the most creative minds we have been lucky enough to meet with this project, always thinking of what she can invent or create from scratch. The evening includes a homemade Jamaican meal, Jamaican coffee (and optionally rum), and desserts like coconut drops and biscuits. You’ll eat together while Claire plays Jamaican music and presents stories from her life in Jamaica. At some point during the evening, Claire will move on to guide a small creative crafts activity, a chance to work with your hands, continue the conversation, and be guided by Claire's passion and expertise. Come join us for an afternoon run/jog/walk. We are not a typical running club, so please read about the concept in “about us”. How it works: we don’t know in advance where the trail will go, but we know it will be fun! A member of the club, the 'hare', sets a trail, usually marked with flour. The rest of us, the 'pack', follows the hare's 'scent', i.e., the marks. There will be a 8-10 km trail for runners with shortcuts down to 5-6 km for walkers and those who need a slower pace. We have no set pace - run/walk as slow or as fast as you'd like. After the run we enjoy some refreshments and socialize. All happens outside, so you need spare warm clothes for after the trail! Come a few minutes before the start so that you can say hi and leave your bag in a designated bag car before we set off at 14:30. Don’t worry if there are few registrations on Meetup. We have existed for 44 years, and a lot of our members (anywhere from 20 to 50 people) just show up. Four-legged friends are welcome! We never cancel. See you there!
